    • This application provides display and control of Android devices connected on USB (or over TCP/IP). 
    • It does not require any root access. 
    • It works on GNU/Linux, Windows, and macOS. 
  •  Advantages

    • quality (1920×1080 or above)
    • low latency (35~70ms)
    • low startup time (~1 second to display the first image)
    • non-intrusiveness (nothing is left installed on the device)
  •  Requirements
    • The Android device requires at least API 21 (Android 5.0).
    • Make sure you enabled adb debugging on your device(s).
    • On some devices, you also need to enable an additional option to control it using keyboard and mouse.
  • Audio forwarding - Audio is not forwarded by scrcpy. Use sndcpy.
  • To install SCRCPY, the MAC must have BREW installed first.
  • How to install BREW
    • Go to https://brew.sh/
    • Copy and Paste the code in a macOS Terminal 
    • Check the version of BREW
    • Inside macOS Terminal, type "$ brew --version" 
    • Install SCRCPY
    • Inside macOS Terminal, type or paste "$ brew install scrcpy"
    • Install ADB
    •  Inside macOS Terminal, type or paste "$ brew install --cask android-platform-tools"
  • Connect Android phone to Mac using a USB cable 
  • Allow access to a mac
  • Inside macOS Terminal, type "$ scrcpy5"
  • If you do not see the Android screen mirrored on the mac, then enable Debugging mode on the Android phone
  • How to enable Debugging mode on an Android phone
    • Go to Settings 
    • Select About Phone
    • Tap on Build Number a few times 
    • Go back to Settings
    • Select Developer Options
    • Activate USB Debugging
    • Activate Always Prompt...
    • Activate Allow ADB...
  • SCRCPY installation on a Windows PC.
    • download and extract zip file. 
    • Run SCRCPY from the extracted folder. 
    • If the Android screen does not show, then enable USB debugging...
      • Go to About phone
      • Tap on build number more than 5 times to activate Developer Options
      • Go to Developer Options and enable USB Debugging.
    • WOW, I can also control my Android phone from the laptop!
