Behind the Scenes: Setting Up a Multi-Platform Live Stream with YOLObox Ultra and YOLOliv Instream

Ever wondered how to achieve a multi-camera live stream across platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, and TikTok simultaneously? Today, I’m taking you behind the scenes to showcase how I set up my live stream using the YOLObox Ultra and YOLOliv Instream for a CapCut mobile video editing demonstration. Here’s a glimpse into the setup and how you can get the same gear for your own live streaming needs.

The Setup

To kick off the stream, I powered on the YOLOliv Instream, which plays a crucial role in broadcasting to TikTok. The Instream was connected to a Logitech C920 webcam via the USB-A port, and audio was set to come from the same webcam.

Integrating the YOLObox Ultra

Next, I brought the YOLObox Ultra into play. This powerful device allows for the integration of multiple video sources. It was connected to two key sources:

  • HDMI 1: GoPro Hero 7 Black
  • HDMI 2: Windows laptop

Innovative Connections

In a fresh twist, I connected the video output from the YOLOliv Instream to HDMI input 4 on the YOLObox Ultra. This setup allowed me to integrate multiple video feeds into a cohesive broadcast.

GoPro Hero 7 Black - Capture wide angle with exceptional video quality.

Mirroring and Combining Video Sources

To showcase my Samsung S22 Ultra screen, I mirrored it onto my laptop using a USB-C to USB-C cable. This setup allowed for a clear display of the mobile editing interface. The final stream combined three video sources:

  1. Interactive view: My hand manipulating the phone.
  2. Mirrored view: The phone’s screen without my fingers.
  3. Face view: A direct shot of my face.

USB-C to USB-C Fast Data Cable - Essential for a stable connection between devices.

Streaming to Multiple Platforms

With the YOLObox Ultra, I configured multi-streaming to broadcast across YouTube, Facebook, and Twitch. This setup ensures a wide reach and diverse audience engagement.

USB-C Charging Power Adapter - Keeps your devices powered throughout the stream.

Final Touches

I added a text overlay to highlight the topic of the live stream. The YOLObox Ultra was connected to the internet and continuously powered via a USB-C charger, ensuring uninterrupted streaming.
