Dual Wireless Mic for Vlogging – Unboxing the Mirfak Audio WE10 Pro

In this video, I’m going to introduce something better than a wireless mic for vlogging. A wireless system with two microphones… https://youtu.be/Hs5CYgrhKZw

What I have here is the Mirfak Audio WE10 Pro. They call it the Dual Transmitter Wireless Microphone System… https://www.mirfakaudio.com/WE10-Pro

Why do I need two microphones for vlogging? Well, I might want to interview a guest in my vlog… watch the video.

DUAL TRANSMITTERS

If I were to use a regular one-to-one wireless mic, I will need two receivers. The WE10 Pro comes with just one receiver that picks up the signals from two microphones.

There’s something I like about this system.

SAFETY BACKUP

I can insert a MicroSD card and start recording the audio as a backup. So I have a backup recording for the interviewer and a separate backup for the interviewee.

Do you know what that means?

AUDIO RECORDER

This little device can actually be used as a standalone audio recorder… but that’s nothing to do with being a wireless mic.

As a wireless mic, how far can I go?

TRANSMISSION RANGE

The maximum range or distance is 30 meters in the line of sight.

How did the mic pick up my voice so clearly?

BUILT-IN MIC

Each transmitter has a built-in mic that picks up sounds from 360 degrees, otherwise known as omnidirectional. The package comes with a mini dead cat that blocks out wind noise when shooting outdoors.

Can we hide that transmitter-looking thing on your collar?

HIDING THE MIC

The package comes with two lavalier or clip-on mics. One for each transmitter. So now I can hide the transmitter by clipping it onto my belt and hook the lavalier on my collar… or really hide it behind the collar.

Now I suppose you want to ask how long is the battery life.

BATTERY AND CHARGING

On paper, it says the transmitter can last about three hours and the receiver four hours. The charging time is about one and a half hours for both. I’ll put the whole spec sheet below. Take a look. The batteries are built-in and are chargeable via USB-C ports. The package comes with a USB to 3 USB-C adapter to charge all three devices at the same time. By the way, my favorite power bank is the Anker power bank.

Does it work with phones and cameras?

PHONES AND CAMERAS

The package comes with two types of audio cables. A TRS audio cable for cameras and a TRRS audio cable for phones. For some iPhones, you will need your lightning to headphone jack adapter. This entire video was actually recorded with the Mirfak Audio WE10 Pro on my Samsung Galaxy S10.

According to the title, isn’t this supposed to be an unboxing video?

UNBOXING ASMR

Listen to the video.

I’ve already shown you everything that came with the package… plus a storage pouch and an instructional manual. Please note that SD cards are not included.

This video is not an ad. It’s a review. So what is it that I don’t like?

THE CONS

First of all, I think the sound quality coming from the built-in mic is better than the lavalier. Do you agree that the built-in mic sounds better? I wish there were battery level indicators on the transmitters just like what the receiver has on the display.

By the way, let’s talk about the display.

THE DISPLAY

On the Receiver display, we can see the audio level meter, the gain level, and the low-cut level, which can be adjusted from the side.

I will go into detail about how the WE10 Pro works here… https://www.videolane.com/mirfak-we10-pro/
