Did you receive the email from YouTube about the new policy?



Monetization is disabled if you have less than 1000 subscribers.



Also, you must have 4000 watch hours in the last 12 months.



The amended policy kicks in from 20 February 2018 onwards.



Is monetization important, even for less than $100 a month?



It does not feed the family, but It is still rewarding for our work?



YouTube is trying the increase the quality of the platform for all.



They are doing the right thing to weed out the smaller players.

Like  royalty-free music , we also have royalty-free video clips. Pay once for the licence and use many times over. Sometimes it’s cheaper to buy a footage, rather than go shoot the footage yourself. Pond5 is my favourite because it’s affordable, and also I have my own clips being sold there. Imagine a  silent 10-second close-up clip of a cellist in action selling at $47 .
