  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. Click Add or Remove Programs.
  3. Click Add/Remove Windows Components.
  4. Select the Fax Services check box, and then click Next.
  5. Wait for the wizard to complete the installation.
  6. Click Start > All Programs > Accessories >Communications > Fax > Fax Console.
  7. Enter your location, identification and printing preference.
  8. Connect the phone line to your PC.
  9. Test sending a fax to someone.
  10. Test receiving a fax by getting that someone to fax back to you.

Now we are all set to connect to the "OLD" world.
